Happy Mothers Day!

A VERY happy Mothers Day to most of you reading this. I have a ton of catching up to do with this blog. I have definitely been incognito for the past few months. Wayne is taking care of the dishes and the kids. Yeah for Mothers Day!! He takes care of those things most days anyway. I'm so lucky!!

I am four months pregnant and the sickness is finally letting up. Thankfully Wayne's mom flew out here to save the day and brought me and the boys to Utah while Wayne finished his final rotation of medical school. The day before we flew out I was in the ER receiving IV's for dehydration. We weren't sure how we would make the 4 1/2 hour flight with a layover, but with much prayer and shear determination we made it. Wayne's mom was singing camp songs to Jacob on the airplane and Trevor ran up into first class. When I went to get him I parted the curtain and he said, "RAAAARRRR!". Most of the people in first class were less than impressed, but I thought it was hysterical. I tried to eat on the flight without losing it. I definitely had bad moments, but somehow it worked out. My day consisted of eating ice cream and cheese potato soup while laying down nauseous and incapacitated. I watched an insane amount of television and could probably let you know what is happening in the world of television. The kids hung out with their grandmas and grandpas, aunts, uncles, and cousins most of the time we were there. I can't say thank you enough to everyone for their help while we were in Utah. I don't know how I would have taken care of the kids while Wayne was working. I am just so thankful.

Our last week in Utah Wayne headed up to Rochester to get some stuff done before residency begins. While he was there he went with a realtor and checked out some homes in areas that I want to live. There was one home that we really liked. We'd been waiting on housing because the school has some townhomes that they rent to graduate students and residents. We were hoping to rent there, but after the lottery was held we were told that we didn't get a spot for the time that we needed it. Not only that, there were no guarantees that we would get a spot later although our chances would have been much better if we would have set a later occupancy date. So we decided to put an offer on the home. We weren't sure if the seller would accept it, but we found out yesterday that he did and assuming that the inspection comes back clean, we will be homeowners next month. CRAZY.

The kids were so excited to see their daddy. When we finally landed in Charlottesville Jacob couldn't contain himself anymore. I told him that he'd have to get in his pajamas when we got home because it would be close to bedtime. He said, "but mom, I want to wrestle and play with my dad." I told him that he could stay up as late as he wanted. He said, "Mom, I like you. You know why? Because you said something nice to me." It was funny how excited he was to stay up as long as he wanted. I thought that he would be exhausted from traveling. We landed in Charlottesville at 9:30 p.m. I figured that he would play for an hour and want to go to sleep. By the time 1:00 a.m. rolled around we told Jacob that it was time for bed. Wayne brushed his teeth and put him down. There were no quarrels about it and he was out cold until 10:00 a.m. the next morning. Trevor was a trooper too. He didn't go to bed until midnight . He didn't want to leave Wayne at all. He has always been a daddy's boy, but after being away for five weeks he won't let him go to the bathroom let alone put him to bed. I had to lay him down and he was fine going to sleep.

Graduation is next Sunday. I can't believe that we will be saying goodbye to this beautiful place and our wonderful friends soon. We'll be in Disneyland June 3rd - 7th, my ultrasound is June 8th and we'll be moving June 9th. These next three weeks are going to come and go so quickly. This is one time when I don't want time to move so fast. I want to enjoy the beauty of where we live, the people we may never see again, and the end of four year medical school adventure.
